Abstract

Hand hygiene is an important aspect in maintaining individual health and preventing the spread of disease. One effective practice for maintaining hand hygiene is washing your hands regularly. In a modern, increasingly connected culture, the use of automatic faucets has become an important innovation in supporting hand washing habits. This service aims to accompany the installation of automatic faucets at Pekunden Elementary School (SD), Semarang, as an effort to encourage the development of a culture of maintaining hand hygiene through the practice of frequent hand washing among students. Hand hygiene is a key step in preventing the spread of disease, especially in crowded school environments.

This service makes an important contribution in efforts to increase awareness of the importance of hand hygiene and create a healthy culture among students at Pekunden Elementary School, Semarang. Additionally, this research underscores the important role of schools in promoting hand hygiene practices as an integral part of health education. The handwashing culture that develops at Pekunden Elementary School can have a lasting positive impact on the health of students and the school community as a whole, while providing an illustration of how technological innovations such as automatic faucets can be combined with educational approaches to change behavior and create a stronger hand hygiene culture in education
