Abstract

Fish smoking business is one of the post-harvest fisheries sub-systems that participates in providing real benefits for the national economy. Traditional smoked fish SMEs in selling their products have not paid attention to product design so that the product looks attractive and has high selling power. They wrap the product as is with only the equipment available. Therefore, there needs to be serious efforts to overcome the problems above. The method used in the development of smoked fish processing packaging design through several stages, among others; identification of situation analysis, assistance in extracting information, formulation of training materials, verification of training, implementation or application of packaging design development, monitoring or evaluation of training results. The expected results from the implementation of this service are that participants can create attractive packaging designs and have high selling value.
