ANALISIS TINGKAT PENGHUNIAN KAMAR HOTEL BINTANG DI JAWA TENGAH
Abstract
One indication of the tourism development is the increase of the number of hotel occupancy, as it can be used as an indication of the number of tourism visitors either domestic or foreign tourists. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the number of the starred hotel occupancy from 1994 to 2003.
The data used to be analyzed in the study consist of the periodical data about the occupancy level of the starred hotel in Central Java from 1994 to 2003. These data covers all of the starred hotels in Central Java, therefore this study uses population.
Meanwhile, the method of analyses used is the simple linear regression after the treatment or giving a test to the classical assumption (normality, multicolinearity, heteroscedastisity, and autocorrelation).
Based on the normality test, multicolinearity test, heteroscedastisity test, and autocorrelation test, then the regression model used to predict the occupancy level of the starred hotel is valid. Based on the regression analysis, there is a low correlation between the period of time and the occupancy level of the starred hotel rooms in Central Java. Based on the F test, the regression model used to predict the occupancy level of the starred hotel in Central Java is not valid. Based on the coefisient regression, there is an increase in the regression model used to predict the occupancy level of the starred hotel in Central Java.
Keywords: linear regression method, starred hotel.
