Abstract

Convention ussualy consist of a dual meeting encompassing both the business for which the convention is called and a social interchange between attendees.Convention are often held annually, calling for more intensive planning due their larger size and the fact that the meeting manager must organize not only the business of the convention but also an extensive social programme.  This can mean creation of cocktails parties, theme dinner parties, tours and often spouse and children’s activities, as well as participatory sport.  With the inclusion of spouses , partners and sometimes children the organizational process become more detailed and inticate, as the planner must include programs and / or tours and excursions for the spouses and appropriate entertainment and supervision for children.
