ANALISIS PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN KOMUNIKASI TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI MELALUI MODAL SOSIAL (Studi pada Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Batang)
Abstract
This research aimed to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and communication on performance by mediating social capital (Study at District Secretariat of Batang Regency). Defined population for this study was Civil Servants at District Secretariat of Batang Regency as much as 145 person with a defined sample at 100 people are proportionally distributed. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data analysis using multiple regression. Results of hypothesis testing showed that transformational leadership positively impact on social capital with a significance at 0,000, communication positively impact on social capital with a significance at 0,000, transformational leadership positively impact on performance with a significance at 0,004, communication positively impact on performance with a significance at 0,035 and social capital positively impact on performance with a significance at 0,000. Mediation testing suggests that social capital is not a mediating variable of transformational leadership effect on performance. Social capital is the mediating variable of communication effect on performance, meaning social capital are better able to explain the influence of communication on performance through mediation of social capital.
