Abstract

This study is to examine the Effect of Competence and Organizational Commitment on Job Satisfaction with Career Plateau as Mediation Variables. The population and research sample are Civil Servants in the Kendal District Government Environment. Research data are primary data obtained directly from respondents with a questionnaire. The research method uses a computer software approach with the SPSS for Windows program. The data analysis method uses Product of Coeffisient (Sobel Test).From the test data and analysis conducted, this study provides empirical evidence as follows: competence has a positive and significant influence on career plateau, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on career plateau, competence has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, organizational commitment has positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, career plateau has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, career plateau mediates the effect of competence and organizational commitment on job satisfaction
