Abstract

The objective of the research are (1) to know degree of the honorary teachers' organizational commitment in Guntur subdistrict Demak regency (2) to know what’s the motive that prompt the good honorary teachers' organizational commitment in Guntur subdistrict Demak regency (3) to know what’s the dominant motive that influences to the honorary teachers' organizational commitment in Guntur subdistrict Demak regency. The existence of this research is hoped can gives contribution in addition of scientific study reference about organizational commitment of honorary teacher and as a base of wisdom formulation in treat and motivate the honorary teacher. The population of this research is honorary teacher of elementary schools in Guntur subdistric Demak regency. The total of elementary schools is 39 with 168 honorary teachers. The sample was taken by using cluster sampling technique based on geographical location of 12 schools (as sample). From 12 schools taken 50 honorary teachers as respondents The data analysis of this research includes validity test with factor analysis, reliability test with Cronbach Alpha, descriptive analysis and multiple regression. The result of the research shows that the majority of honorary teachers' organizational commitment in good category. The motives that prompt a good honorary teachers’ organizational commitment are physiologist motive, social motive, egoistic motive, and actualization motive. The multiple regression analysis shows that the social motive and the actualization motive have a dominant influence to the organizational commitment of the honorary teacher in Guntur subdistrict Demak regency.
