Successful Women in Career and Relationship in Kate Perry’s Project Date: as a Feminism Study

This research is literary research conducted on the novel entitled Project Date by Kate Perry. To conduct this research, the writer applies the liberal feminism approach to analyze the main female characters.

The research findings are as follows. First, the character and characteristic of two female characters in the novel Project Date; Philomena Donovan and Daphne Donovan. Second, the writer finds out the setting of Kate Perry’s Project Date which takes place mostly in Portland. The novel also describes feminism which reflects women role in 21st century. Third, the writer discussed  on the success of Philomena and Daphne Donovan in career. Philomena is successful as a system administrator in a software company, while Daphne is successful as a scientist in Palo Alto, California. Finally, the writer discussed on the success of Philomena and Daphne Donovan in relationship. Philomena is optimistic woman.  Daphne is a workaholic woman.
