Liliek Soepriatmadji, M.Pd                                                                                          Thisresearch is entitled “METAPHORICAL EXRESSIONS CREATED IN JASON MRAZ’S ALBUMENTITLED “WE SING, WE DANCE, WE STEAL THINGS”. It analyzes the lyrics in JasonMraz’s song, which have metaphorical language. The objective of this study isto determine the types of metaphorical language in the Jason Mraz.Theresearcher used documentation as the method of collecting the data. This methodwas proposed to collect the metaphors that are expressed in Jason Mraz’s songsthird album entitled “We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Thing”.Basedon the result of analysis, it can be concluded that in creating the song lyricJason Mraz has not used all types of metaphorical language. There are 48metaphorical expression used in Jason Mraz’s songs consisting of Hyperbole 23data (47,9%),  Personification 10 data(20,8%), Simile 7 data (14,6%), Metonymy 3 data (6,25%), Paradox 3 data(6,25%), and Epithet 2 data (4,2%). Such expressions as Eponym, Oxymoron,Synecdoche and Pun or Paronomasia are not used in the song lyrics.                                                                                                            Key words:Hyperbole, Jason Mraz, Metaphor, Simile, Song lyrics
